About the role

  • Financial and Administrative Manager ensuring compliance and effective management of financial resources in projects. Overseeing budgeting, reporting, and administrative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage financial and administrative resources.
  • Ensure sustainability, transparency, and compliance in project management and accountability processes.
  • Ensure the physical and financial implementation of projects is aligned with strategic objectives and legal requirements.
  • Prepare and review project budgets.
  • Monitor cash flow and perform periodic financial projections.
  • Operationalize projects' physical and financial execution, including journal entries, reconciliations, and expense control.
  • Prepare and submit accountability reports on specific platforms.
  • Verify fiscal and accounting documents.
  • Prepare financial and technical reports for funding agencies and partners.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls and financial risk mitigation measures.
  • Support audits and inspections.
  • Assist project technical teams with budget planning and execution.
  • Coordinate contracts and administrative processes related to project implementation.
  • Manage and oversee administrative and service contracts.
  • Lead and mentor the administrative team.

Requirements

  • Degree in Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in financial management and project accountability/reporting.
  • Practical experience with project and grant management platforms.
  • Knowledge of tax, accounting, and regulatory standards applicable to the third sector (nonprofit sector).
  • Strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, and rigor in meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial management tools and spreadsheet software.
  • Experience with grants, funding agreements, and collaboration agreements (advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of public resource management and financial compliance (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with project monitoring tools and performance indicators.
