About the role

  • Junior Software Engineer at IT-Strat supporting Customs & Border Protection software requirements and architecture transformation. Involves software debugging, testing, and documentation preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out basic work to support the transformation of overall requirements and architecture to a complete design.
  • Assists in assuring consistency of overall effort.
  • Translates detailed design into computer software.
  • Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product.
  • Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
  • Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
  • Follows reliability and maintainability guidance and policy to minimize life cycle costs of finished products.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability.
  • BA/BS required.
  • Three(3) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with database, internet, web, and e-business software and interfaces.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
