About the role

  • Senior Project Manager leading planning and implementation of projects at Independence Pet Holdings. Shaping enterprise strategy and engaging with stakeholders to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engages with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepares communication materials, business cases, funding requests, and presentations to gain acceptance for strategic plans from stakeholders.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Builds and maintains key strategic relationships within various areas, including but not limited to operating companies and transversal functions to ensure alignment with overall strategic plans.
  • Leads the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement, change management, and communication strategies.
  • Organizes project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules, and determines resource requirements.
  • Integrates vendor tasks into project plans, tracks, and reviews vendor deliverables.
  • Performs project risk management.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (one-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college).
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including enterprise-level initiatives.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Six-Sigma Green Belt or above, and/or Prosci Certified Change Practitioner preferred.
  • Prior experience in working in a global and/or consulting environment a plus.
  • Experience in insurance or regulated industries also a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to anticipate needs and proactively address challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels and influence without authority.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptability, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and able to develop creative, practical solutions that are fit-for-purpose.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint.
