About the role
- Junior Accounting Analyst assisting Indigo's accounting team with routine activities and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and posting of accounting entries.
- Perform account and bank reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of accounting and financial reports.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closings.
- Assist in analyzing account variances and in expense control.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.
- Maintain organization and filing of accounting documents.
- Provide support for internal and external audits by supplying necessary documents and information.
- Participate in training and ongoing development in accounting practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field (currently studying or recently graduated).
- 1–2 years of accounting experience is desirable but not required.
- Basic knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
- Experience with the Protheus ERP system is a plus.
- Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
- Analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Basic to intermediate English is desirable.
