About the role

• Consultant in semiconductor technology supporting technology projects in chip design and integration. Collaborating with clients and european networks at German Chips Competence Centre.

Responsibilities

• Consulting and support: You advise G3C clients in preparing technology projects in the areas of chip design and heterogeneous integration.
• You carry out feasibility analyses together with the G3C expert team, connect clients with implementation partners and identify suitable infrastructure in the European pilot lines (in particular APECS).
• Outreach and stakeholder engagement: You raise awareness of G3C’s offering by contributing at events (trade shows, association meetings, conferences) and establish contacts with SMEs, startups, investors and other partners.
• European networking: You participate in meetings of the approximately 30 European competence centres at various locations across Europe, visit competence clusters in Germany and connect the G3C with the German chip-design ecosystem.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering (Technische Informatik), Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Background in microtechnology (e.g. CMOS, MEMS, photonics), chip design or systems engineering
• Several years of professional experience in your field, for example as a process engineer, chip designer or in the development of embedded HW/SW systems
• Ideally experience interacting with both research organisations and private industry, and contacts with key players in your domain
• Willingness to travel for business, e.g. to trade shows or events (occasionally on weekends if required) within Germany and across Europe (approx. 20% travel)
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.
