About the role

  • Safety Specialist responsible for implementing safety culture and best practices at Iguá Saneamento. Engaging teams and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Act directly in implementing and promoting a safety culture, conducting campaigns and training that reinforce safety values focused on caring for people and creating safe environments.
  • Engage teams and leadership, facilitating workshops and meetings to align safe practices and desired behaviors.
  • Manage, monitor and analyze safety indicators (KPIs, statistics, incident rates, etc.), proposing corrective and preventive actions for continuous performance improvement.
  • Develop dashboards and periodic reports to track results and support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the definition of safety goals and objectives aligned with Iguá’s strategic plan.
  • Review, propose and implement improvements to processes, policies and procedures of the OHS management system, ensuring adherence to market best practices and Regulatory Standards (NRs).
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections and compliance assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Promote integration between areas (Quality, Environment, Compliance, Health and Safety), strengthening governance of the integrated management system.
  • Prepare, deliver and present trainings, lectures and educational campaigns on occupational safety, quality of life and accident prevention.
  • Develop teaching materials and internal communications to reinforce the safety culture.
  • Stay up to date on applicable laws and standards, ensuring legal compliance and anticipating regulatory changes.
  • Seek innovative solutions to make workplaces safer, healthier and more productive, evaluating new technologies and methodologies applicable to OHS.
  • Participate in working groups and benchmarking with other companies in the sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Engineering, or related fields.
