About the role
- Security Guard II responsible for maintaining safety and security at IGT Reno campus. Ensuring timely response to security incidents while enforcing security procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and company property
- Serve as the first point of contact for emergencies and security incidents
- Ensure timely response and escalation in accordance with established guidelines
- Maintain a professional, courteous, security-focused presence and assist employees with escorts, directions, and badging/access-related questions
- Enforce security directives and applicable regulations
- Monitor security systems, manage access control, and complete required logs and incident reports
- Prevent unauthorized access to company sites or spaces
- Maintain and update visitor logs and complete incident reports
- Document shift activity in the Daily Activity Log
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–4 years of relevant security experience
- Basic working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and ordinances applicable to security operations
- Working knowledge of security/law enforcement equipment and security protective systems (fire alarms, building access, intrusion detection, etc.)
- Experience operating CCTV, access control, and related security systems
- Proficient with computers and standard business software (Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time and conduct foot patrols as required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification is preferred
- Ability to pass required background investigation
