About the role
- Biogas Field Service Technician responsible for operations of biogas plants. Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance at the site.
Responsibilities
- Perform activities associated with the safe and efficient operations of electrical and mechanical systems
- Operate and maintain biogas plants including anaerobic dairy manure digesters and gas upgrading equipment
- Perform planned routine maintenance and unplanned repairs on equipment
- Document work completed in logs and drawings for all designated equipment
- Conduct instrument calibration as scheduled/required
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plant operation and equipment problems
- Collect and analyze data to analyze digester health
- Maintain a clean and presentable plant environment
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
- Participate in other tasks in support of operations as required
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a related field (mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or agricultural engineering) or 5+ years of related experience
- 2+ years of experience in biogas plant operation and maintenance or wastewater facility operation and maintenance preferred
- PLC programming experience preferred
- Strong understanding of biogas production and conversion processes or willingness to learn
- Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience working with 24-480 V systems
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and process flow diagrams
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
