Biogas Field Service Technician responsible for operations of biogas plants. Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance at the site.
Responsibilities
Perform activities associated with the safe and efficient operations of electrical and mechanical systems
Operate and maintain biogas plants including anaerobic dairy manure digesters and gas upgrading equipment
Perform planned routine maintenance and unplanned repairs on equipment
Document work completed in logs and drawings for all designated equipment
Conduct instrument calibration as scheduled/required
Troubleshoot and diagnose plant operation and equipment problems
Collect and analyze data to analyze digester health
Maintain a clean and presentable plant environment
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
Participate in other tasks in support of operations as required
Requirements
Associate's degree in a related field (mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or agricultural engineering) or 5+ years of related experience
2+ years of experience in biogas plant operation and maintenance or wastewater facility operation and maintenance preferred
PLC programming experience preferred
Strong understanding of biogas production and conversion processes or willingness to learn
Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience working with 24-480 V systems
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and process flow diagrams
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
