About the role

  • Biogas Field Service Technician responsible for operations of biogas plants. Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform activities associated with the safe and efficient operations of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Operate and maintain biogas plants including anaerobic dairy manure digesters and gas upgrading equipment
  • Perform planned routine maintenance and unplanned repairs on equipment
  • Document work completed in logs and drawings for all designated equipment
  • Conduct instrument calibration as scheduled/required
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose plant operation and equipment problems
  • Collect and analyze data to analyze digester health
  • Maintain a clean and presentable plant environment
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures
  • Participate in other tasks in support of operations as required

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field (mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, or agricultural engineering) or 5+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of experience in biogas plant operation and maintenance or wastewater facility operation and maintenance preferred
  • PLC programming experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of biogas production and conversion processes or willingness to learn
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with experience working with 24-480 V systems
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and process flow diagrams
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
