About the role

  • Associate Manager managing Logistics Category for Latin America at IFF, developing sourcing strategies and driving supplier relationships across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Logistics Category for Latin America, developing and executing sourcing strategies across road (FTL, LTL), multimodal transportation, warehousing and 4PL operations.
  • The role works closely with the North America (NA) Logistics Category Manager to co define the category strategy for the Americas region and provides day to day operational support for North America.
  • Develop strong regional sourcing capabilities, ensuring competitive, cost‑effective and sustainable service delivery.
  • Maintain close partnership with Logistics & Supply Chain to anticipate demand and emerging trends.
  • Execute strategic sourcing methodology, including spend analysis, market intelligence and supplier diversification initiatives.
  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to strengthen partnerships, support innovation and reduce non‑value‑added suppliers.
  • Negotiate master agreements, resolve performance issues and lead claims management when required.
  • Ensure strong coordination with LATAM cross‑functional teams and global category partners to align strategies.
  • Support sustainability targets by driving CO₂ reduction initiatives across logistics categories.
  • Provide functional guidance to Senior Buyers and other assigned resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in services procurement, supplier relationship management or related functions
  • Strong financial and business acumen, ideally including experience with TCO, cash optimization and hedging‑related procurement
  • Proven experience working with Latin America–based suppliers in multinational, cross‑cultural environments
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience influencing cross‑functional teams
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
  • CPSM, SPSM, or similar procurement certification is a plus.
