About the role
- Engineer III - Power BI Platform managing deployment and security of enterprise-wide Power BI environment. Ensuring stability, scalability, and optimization of performance for business intelligence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, security, and deployment of the enterprise-wide Power BI environment
- Take ownership of the Power BI Service, ensuring a stable, scalable, and secure platform for business intelligence initiatives
- Implement best practices and optimize performance for Power BI
- Collaborate with stakeholders to explain complex technical issues and deliver solutions
Requirements
- Eight plus (8+) years of professional experience in data analytics, with four plus (4+) years of dedicated experience as a Power BI Administrator or Platform Lead
- Proven, hands-on experience implementing and managing security models (RLS, OLS) in Power BI
- Strong experience with on-premises data gateway configuration and management
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for Power BI, preferably using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience with the Power BI REST API for automated deployments and platform management
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric preferred.
- Background in data warehousing concepts and ETL processes preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution required
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or other relevant certifications preferred
