About the role
- Inventory Control Supervisor responsible for supervising inventory control activities and team performance. Leading process improvements and collaborating with various departments to meet objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day activities of Inventory Control
- Supervise staff, assign work, monitor activities and evaluate performance
- Provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development
- Plan, organize, and balance work that provides adequate staffing and resources
- Maintain work on schedule to meet goals and deadlines
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate work and manage escalated/critical issues
- Provide internal/external customer feedback and lead/participate in teams/projects
- Contribute to process improvements based on evaluation of existing procedures and business needs
- Prepare reports and other information summarizing work activities and analyses as needed
- Maintain knowledge of Company products and services, as well as industry changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Managed a team in the past ideally
- Experience managing, organizing, prioritizing, and directing work activities and teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, & Excel)
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written
- Developed reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues
- Demonstrate project management skills and abilities
- Ideally experience with Inventory Control, Materials Management, and/or warehousing leadership
- Adept in identifying and implementing process improvements and integrating Lean methodologies
- Own transportation with ability to travel between local warehouses as needed
- Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required
