Responsibilities

  • Handles moderate to complex claims with focus on policyholders and ICW Group
  • Manages all aspects of assigned claims inventory
  • Investigates claims to determine exposure and works with experts for recommendations
  • Operates within state regulations and internal policies
  • Directs defense counsel throughout litigation process
  • Collaborates with team members from various departments
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert and mentors less experienced team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education and experience) preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of related claims experience
  • Certification that meets minimum standards (WCCA and WCCP preferred)
  • State Workers Compensation License is required in some branches
  • Good understanding of laws and jurisdictional restraints to manage claims
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
