About the role

  • Hydrology Manager driving water resources and drought strategies at Anglian Water. Leading a team to maintain water resource security in terms of quantity and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Drive water resources and drought strategies, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and mitigated across the Anglian Region
  • Lead on the creation of the hydrological input for components of the statutory Drought Plan
  • Act as a key hydrological point of contact for drought management, leading tactical and strategic workstreams, and ensuring compliance with our Drought Plan
  • Oversee hydrological analysis, reporting, modelling, and data management to support business priorities and innovative solutions
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally, including with regulators such as the Environment Agency
  • Manage critical projects from drought permit preparation to data visualisation, translating complex technical information into actionable insights

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hydrology or water resources management
  • Strong analytical and scientific skills
  • Exceptional leadership ability to inspire and motivate technical teams
  • Skilled in strategic planning, risk management, and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure
  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required
