Senior Infrastructure Engineer responsible for managing and modernizing corporate infrastructure at ICEYE. Focused on enabling scalable global satellite operations and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Own, build, and evolve our core infrastructure to enable scalable global satellite operations.
Provide the critical foundation that allows ICEYE to operate.
Own and modernize our corporate infrastructure, managing the physical and virtual backbone that our engineering and business teams rely on daily.
Focus on tangible operational excellence: building resilient on-premise clusters, optimizing hybrid networks, and transitioning our systems administration into a disciplined, code-driven practice.
Assume responsibility for core segments, including on-prem clusters and network segments, identifying technical debt and executing a plan to address it.
Architect and deploy new on-premise clusters while stabilizing legacy systems.
Lead the initiative to build new infrastructure on public cloud services, ensuring seamless integration with existing on-premise footprint.

Core Technical Profile: The T-Shaped Engineer
We do not expect universal expertise; however, this role requires a specific balance of breadth and depth.
We are seeking a T-shaped engineer: an individual possessing a functional understanding of the entire infrastructure stack, alongside expert-level mastery in at least two of the following areas:
Virtualization & Compute: Designing and managing high-availability server clusters and virtualization stacks in production.
Experience with VMware or Proxmox is essential.
Hybrid Cloud (AWS): Building scalable environments on AWS that integrate effectively with on-premise systems.
Advanced Networking: Designing and troubleshooting complex network topologies utilizing enterprise-grade vendors.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Defining infrastructure via software rather than relying on manual configuration.
OS Administration: Deep internal knowledge of Windows Server or Linux environments.
Hybrid Requirement: A hybrid presence is required. Experience limited solely to cloud environments will be insufficient.
Multi-Vendor Environment: We operate a mix of open-source and enterprise tools (Okta, Google Workspace, VMware, Proxmox, AWS, Palo Alto, Cisco).

Base salary range for this position would be contingent on your experience level, and will be negotiated individually.
