Lead Engineer for ScottishPower’s RIIO-T3 Business Plan focusing on engineering design solutions and project management for electricity transmission upgrades.
Responsibilities
Manage interfaces with EPC contractors and OEMs to ensure their designs are innovative and meet requirements for deliverables.
Assess, develop and provide complex detailed engineering design solutions while balancing innovation and value driven engineering to reduce asset lifecycle cost.
Requirements
Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer Status (or working towards).
Proven experience and knowledge in Circuits/Substations (Main Plant)/Protection & Control/ Civil & Structural engineering design works up to 400kV for electrical network transmission projects or similar.
Good people and communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with other individuals, departments and businesses.
Experience in dynamic engineering environment with multiple projects and ensuring delivery of outputs.
Ability to implement, apply and promote CDM and Health & Safety best practice in a design environment.
Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment with a diverse and demanding workload.
Knowledge and experience of implementing new technologies and engineering solutions.
