About the role
- Quality Assurance Manager responsible for QA/QC in electric utility construction projects. Ensuring compliance with contract requirements and industry standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control program across all projects
- Conduct field QA/QC audits, inspections, and work observations
- Maintain accurate QA/QC records including inspection reports and corrective actions
- Lead investigations into quality-related issues and develop corrective action plans
- Deliver training on quality standards and proper installation techniques
- Serve as QA/QC point of contact for utility clients and inspectors
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in electric utility construction (transmission, distribution, or substation)
- 3+ years in a QA/QC, construction management, or field leadership role
- Experience with civil construction related to utility infrastructure (foundations, excavation, concrete, site work)
- Familiarity with utility standards (e.g., IEEE, NESC, ASTM, utility-specific specifications)
- Proficient in quality documentation systems such as SiteDocs, Aclaimant, Procore, or similar
- Local to Pennsylvania with regular travel to other locations for meetings
- Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams
