About the role

  • Network Engineer collaborating with security and IT teams to enhance PPI’s advanced hybrid IT ecosystem. Implementing solutions and maintaining enterprise networking, including Azure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with the Infrastructure, Helpdesk, and Information Security teams
  • Supports, maintains, and enhances PPI’s advanced hybrid IT ecosystem
  • Implements new solutions, maintains and upgrades network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and cloud networking components
  • Proactively monitors and troubleshoots complex issues to ensure a secure, well-documented, scalable, and reliable environment
  • Supports the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of PPI's wired and wireless network infrastructure
  • Assists in managing network security technologies, including firewalls and vulnerability scanners
  • Contributes to the operation and enhancement of datacenter networking environments
  • Supports connectivity for remote sites and branch offices
  • Maintains and troubleshoots remote-access technologies such as VPN and secure access gateways
  • Diagnoses and resolves Tier-3 network and connectivity issues across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Participates in the paid on-call rotation for network outage alerts and escalations

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a network engineering role, preferably within financial services or insurance environments
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking in complex, enterprise-scale environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PowerShell scripting (or similar automation tools)
  • Advanced experience with networking protocols and technologies including: BGP, IS-IS, MPLS-VPN QoS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP IPSec and SSL VPN technologies
  • Proven experience designing and supporting Azure networking solutions in production environments
  • Strong knowledge of Azure VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints, hybrid DNS, and secure connectivity patterns
  • Familiarity with Azure landing zone networking concepts and cloud security best practices
