About the role

  • Directeur(trice)-adjoint(e), Conformité for iA Financial Group, managing compliance and regulatory issues in insurance and savings sectors. Role involves leading teams and strategic projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Mobilize, coordinate and prioritize the team’s work to deliver first-class advisory services and support on complex regulatory issues related to the Insurance, Savings and Individual Retirement (AERI) sectors.
  • Lead the oversight and execution of mandates related to strategic regulatory projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with regulators’ expectations and industry best practices.
  • Support internal sales teams and operations teams on complex compliance, distribution, and product and service manufacturing matters.
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of team activities using relevant dashboards, facilitate daily meetings (DMS/Scrums), and hold team members accountable for problem resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with multiple internal and external partners (sales, pricing, training, marketing, legal affairs, risk management, corporate compliance, and career network) and act as a regulatory expert to senior management.

Requirements

  • Recognized for strong regulatory expertise in insurance and individual savings.
  • Holds a law degree and is a member of a Canadian Bar Association/Canadian Bar.
  • Demonstrates the ability to mobilize and coordinate multidisciplinary teams around common objectives.
  • Exhibits strong analytical rigor and excellent professional judgment in the assessment of regulatory risks.
  • Known for leadership, influencing skills and the ability to advise senior stakeholders.
  • Possesses 8 to 10 years of experience in regulatory risk management in the insurance and/or savings sector.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, as the role requires daily verbal and written communication with French- and English-speaking product distribution teams across Canada.
