About the role

  • Vehicle Safety Test Engineer coordinating and executing system and component level testing for Hyundai's automotive safety systems. Involving both pre-test planning and post-test analysis responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and support system and component level testing
  • Create vehicle safety test plan / checklist, coordinate with requestor
  • Attend test, confirm test setup conditions, and run test (in-person)
  • Collect data, post-process data, analyze data
  • Conduct post-test vehicle/component teardowns and inspections
  • Generate technical reports of test performance results
  • Package test report and data set for transmission to requestor
  • Develop system and component test processes and procedures

Requirements

  • BSME; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar engineering discipline)
  • 0-3 years of engineering experience
  • Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai KIA must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
