About the role
- Vehicle Safety Test Engineer coordinating and executing system and component level testing for Hyundai's automotive safety systems. Involving both pre-test planning and post-test analysis responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, execute, and support system and component level testing
- Create vehicle safety test plan / checklist, coordinate with requestor
- Attend test, confirm test setup conditions, and run test (in-person)
- Collect data, post-process data, analyze data
- Conduct post-test vehicle/component teardowns and inspections
- Generate technical reports of test performance results
- Package test report and data set for transmission to requestor
- Develop system and component test processes and procedures
Requirements
- BSME; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar engineering discipline)
- 0-3 years of engineering experience
- Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai KIA must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
