About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools
- Create design layouts, engineering drawings, and technical documentation for manufacturing
- Order, build, and evaluate prototype parts; document findings and implement improvements
- Support on-site production activities, including pilot builds and first-run manufacturing
- Troubleshoot design or production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and on-time completion
- Participate in product reviews and provide engineering input that aligns with customer needs and performance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering
- At least 3 years of industry experience in engineering, product development, or related fields
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or comparable)
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, drafting practices, and engineering analysis
- Experience with prototype development, testing, and design validation
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and assembly
- Familiarity with vehicle, equipment, or automotive systems is a plus
- Ability to create, interpret, and maintain engineering drawings and specifications
