About the role

  • Mine Engineer supporting safe and efficient operations at Copper Mountain Mine in Princeton, BC. Providing engineering support through planning, technical analysis, and collaboration with operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the safe and efficient operation of Copper Mountain Mine through technical analysis, planning, and engineering support.
  • Develop and optimize blast designs including timing, wall control, and fragmentation performance.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly mine plans to support production targets.
  • Develop medium- and long-term mine designs and production schedules aligned with business objectives.
  • Support fleet management systems and analyze production data to identify opportunities for productivity optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  • 3 - 6 years of progressive experience in open pit mining operations or mine engineering roles
  • Working knowledge of open pit mining methods, mine planning principles, and production processes.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license and have access to personal transportation
