Responsibilities
- Receiving, reviewing, and evaluating project requests and planning general activities for project completion
- Analyzing customer technical requirements and providing recommendations to satisfy their needs
- Researching and interpreting industry standards and technical information related to product design inputs
- Designing or developing work as planned, performs simulation tests and analysis, selects materials, and generates product specifications
- Participating in cross-functional teams to ensure completion of all tasks associated with project requirements
- Conducting engineering investigations, summarizing findings, and preparing & distributing appropriate solutions
- Initiating drawings orders, engineering changes, sample & prototype requests, and purchase requisitions
- Reporting the status and progress of projects and performing additional duties to complete projects and assignments
- Interacting with other departmental groups to complete project tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent technical degree or advanced degree; no experience (required)
- Minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience (required)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong analytical skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desired demonstrated knowledge in the interpretation of design, performance, and standards relevant to the electrical industry
- Effective project management skills
- Ability to interact and work effectively with other departments including supply chain, operations, manufacturing, sales, and marketing
- Process improvement and data analytical skills preferred
