About the role

  • Electronics Engineer developing and implementing electrotechnical systems in hydrogen-powered generators. Focus on electrical design, system integration, and testing of prototypes and production units.

Responsibilities

  • Development and design of wiring harnesses for hydrogen-powered power units
  • Selection, integration and commissioning of sensors and actuators (temperature, pressure, current, valves, relays, etc.)
  • Development, implementation and commissioning of CAN bus systems
  • CAN communication, signal definition, DBC
  • Integration of control units, displays and peripheral devices
  • Embedded software development for control and monitoring functions
  • Control and actuation of sensors and actuators
  • Fault detection, state logic, safety functions
  • Commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and production units
  • Analysis of measurement and log data (e.g., CAN logs, operational data)
  • Documentation of circuit diagrams, wiring harnesses, software and interfaces

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a comparable technical qualification
  • Experience in the development and commissioning of electrotechnical systems, ideally in the context of generators, vehicles or energy systems
  • Knowledge of wiring harness design, sensors and actuators
  • Experience with CAN bus systems (e.g., CANopen, J1939), signal definition and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of embedded software development (MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++)
  • Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style
  • Team player with technical communication skills
  • Good German language skills; English for technical documentation is an advantage

Benefits

  • Work on one of the most exciting future topics: hydrogen and energy technology
  • High level of technical freedom in development, commissioning and system design
  • Flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths with direct exchange between development and management
  • Modern working environment with flexible working hours and partial home-office option (depending on project phase/commissioning)
  • Interdisciplinary team of electrical engineering, software, mechanics and product development
  • Opportunity to actively shape prototypes and series products – from concept to operating units
