About the role

• Software Engineer developing C# backend services for Alto Software Group, enhancing B2B SaaS housing transaction solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain critical backend services using C# and .NET.
• Work with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda, SQS, Eventbridge and DocumentDB to build scalable, event-driven architectures.
• Take ownership of your work from design to deployment, either independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex business problems into elegant, customer-focused solutions.
• Help us shape our engineering practices and explore new ways of working (e.g Shape Up methodology) to deliver value to our customers in a fast, predictable way.
• Contribute to our modern microservices and event-driven architecture, ensuring our platform is resilient and performant.

Requirements

• A software engineer with a strong background in C# and experience in modern API development with .NET.
• Someone who is comfortable building distributed systems with asynchronous event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing REST APIs, with experience in domain driven design.
• An understanding of cloud-native development practices and awareness of AWS ECS, S3 and SQS (or vendor equivalents).
