About the role

• VAT Assistant analyzing complex VAT data and preparing tax reports for multinational clients. Collaborating with teams and participating in training and improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• You will take part in internal trainings to become familiar with our processes and contribute to delivering an excellent client experience.
• You will analyze complex VAT data to prepare indirect tax reports for our multinational clients based on country-specific guidance.
• You will pro-actively anticipate our clients’ needs and respond to requests accordingly.
• You will advance your language skills in our teams, by managing and keeping contact with foreign tax authorities in case of upcoming questions.
• You will be part of a cross-functional team and collaborate with other departments.
• KPMG creates the future of taxation, thus you will participate in our improvement projects.
• You will have the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and take part in various additional projects within the team.

Requirements

• Preferred background: University studies/diploma
• Languages: Strong written and spoken English language knowledge
• 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in the tax or VAT field.
• Technical skills and Experience: You are open to advancing your Excel skills through our training opportunities
• You are confident with numbers and can handle large amounts of data
• You can identify and solve potential problems
• You have great collaboration and effective communication skills that make you a team-oriented person
• You can work independently
• Attitude: Precision, reliability, client-oriented mindset, and proactive personality
• Advantages: Prior financial experience is an advantage (including internships)
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese language
• A background in VAT advisory or tax is considered an advantage.
