About the role

  • Specialist in Vehicle Supply Chain managing supplier contracts and vehicle procurement strategies. Involving negotiations and internal communications in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining, negotiating and professionally reviewing purchasing conditions and comparative offers from our suppliers
  • Conducting framework agreement negotiations and supporting them through to successful conclusion, including cross-departmental involvement
  • Conducting consultations, needs analyses and benchmarks with our customers and prospects in the area of vehicle procurement
  • Preparing project-specific vehicle configurations (primarily light commercial vehicles) including upfits/modifications/conversions as part of the overall procurement strategy (Holman Supply Chain)
  • Internal and external communication with specialist departments, our customers and our suppliers
  • Strategic supplier management (Supplier Relationship Management)
  • Contributing to the further development of the Vehicle Supply Chain department within Holman Germany in collaboration with our US colleagues

Requirements

  • Completed commercial or technical vocational training, or an equivalent qualification
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in light commercial vehicles, passenger cars or upfit/conversion manufacturers
  • Strong affinity for light commercial vehicles and specialist vehicle solutions
  • Structured working style combined with self-organization skills, including reporting and documentation understanding (e.g., visit reports)
  • High level of commitment, proactive thinking and working style with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Presentation skills and articulate communication combined with a confident and professional demeanour
  • Enthusiasm for negotiation activities
  • Business-fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
