About the role

  • Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer maintaining servers and network for HME Brass Germany. Supports IT processes and collaborates internationally with teams in Europe and China.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and maintenance of internal servers (Windows/Linux), storage systems, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)
  • Supporting the helpdesk team and handling technical requests related to infrastructure
  • Assisting in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network components (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Coordinating network connections between the headquarters in China and European sites
  • Assisting with the setup and maintenance of the company’s cloud environments
  • Participating in the development of automation scripts to increase efficiency and standardize IT processes
  • Implementing and monitoring security policies, system logs, as well as backup and recovery procedures
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, configuration records, and manuals
  • Supporting the standardization of IT processes across the European region
  • Close coordination with IT teams in Europe and China
  • Assisting with regional project implementations and system integrations

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Entry-level candidates and recent graduates with up to 2 years of professional experience are explicitly welcome
  • Basic knowledge in administering Windows and/or Linux servers
  • Understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals
  • Initial exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Basic understanding of IT security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
  • Very good command of German, English, and Chinese, both written and spoken
  • Strong willingness to learn and analytical thinking
  • Independent, structured, and responsible working style
  • Team player with strong intercultural communication skills
