About the role
- HVDC Valve Maintenance Engineer at Hitachi Energy performing maintenance and service on HVDC Valves. Troubleshooting and technical support for high voltage global projects.
Responsibilities
- Your main mission will be to perform maintenance and service activities on HVDC Valves and Valve Cooling systems in high voltage global projects.
- Conduct troubleshooting and fault investigations on HVDC Valves and associated systems.
- Execute mechanical replacements and repairs of valve components and cooling system equipment.
- Perform testing and verification of repaired or replaced equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders regarding maintenance and operational issues.
- Contribute to planning and preparation of maintenance activities and ensure efficient execution in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering office to assure correct documentation is used during maintenance and provide feedback for as-built documentation.
Requirements
- You have a technical education, preferably with a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- You have several years of work experience within relevant fields.
- Previous experience in maintenance and service work on complex electrical or mechanical systems is required.
- Experience from troubleshooting and fault analysis in large-scale projects is advantageous.
- Previous experience from HVDC, FACTS or Substation projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in English is a must, written and spoken alike, whereas additional languages are a plus.
