About the role
- Construction Integration Manager managing operational project aspects for the Virginia Class Submarine program at HII. Ensuring timely turnover of ship systems and aligning construction and testing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, acting as a liaison between program management and planning, project team, line management, test organizations, and the customer.
- Review status of projects and budgets, managing schedules, and preparing status reports.
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions that meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Develop mechanisms to monitor project progress and intervene and solve problems with project managers, line managers, and customers.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years relevant progressive experience with a bachelor’s in engineering or related field;
- Six (6) years relevant progressive experience with a Masters in related field.
- Four (4) years of supervisory experience.
- Four (4) years of project management experience.
- Active-duty US Navy submarine operational and/or shipyard experience including Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plant qualifications and experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of propulsion and non-propulsions submarine systems operation and intersystem interaction.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must possess an active secret security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
