Responsibilities
- Support the development of project scopes, budgets, and design approaches for HVAC retrofits.
- Conduct building energy assessments and contribute to engineering feasibility studies.
- Develop conceptual designs, calculations, and input to business cases and client reports.
- Carry out detailed mechanical building systems engineering including troubleshooting, calculations, equipment selection, drawings, and specifications.
- Execute construction administration activities including commissioning and project closeout.
- Coordinate with internal team members and external trade allies (consultants, contractors).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for immediate registration with EGBC.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in BC.
- Working knowledge of the BC Building Code, Vancouver Building Bylaws, ASHRAE engineering & energy efficiency standards, and Canadian life-safety regulations.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license.
