Underwriting Assistant supporting Hamilton's Casualty Insurance portfolio. Perform administrative tasks and collaborate with underwriting and operations teams in Bermuda.
Responsibilities
Provide underwriting administrative support associated with the lifecycle of a submission, including data entry, data downloads, file preparation and document management
Conduct contract reviews and analysis of data in our underwriting system and other relevant business systems
Liaise with underwriting and operations teams to ensure data is processed timely, accurately and in accordance with compliance rules
Ensure department meets financial reporting and system deadlines
Ensure timely logging and accuracy of all underwriting data within the underwriting and other relevant business systems
Prepare documentation to support Underwriters
Assist in administration and management reporting of portfolios
Contribute to system testing, ad hoc projects and research work
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role; preferably within Casualty Insurance
Experience with Salesforce or similar deal management system
Strong work ethic with superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Ability to work independently within a small team, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Strong time management and communication skills
Ability to leverage data and technology to improve processes
