Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and customers to drive business retention and acquisition
Participate in sales team meetings and represent Zurich at industry events as needed
Conduct market and competitor research to understand industry trends and emerging risks
Lead the development and implementation of client engagement plans
Analyze existing client portfolios, claims data, and product performance to identify growth opportunities
Actively participate in risk selection, pricing, and deal structuring discussions
Participate in underwriting and analyzing new and renewal business independently within delegated authority levels
Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and product teams to deliver tailored, innovative solutions and outstanding client service
Support the Underwriting team and manage underwriting submissions and annual reviews
Support claims teams with coverage expertise and issue resolution
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing roles
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading technical peers
Proven expertise in underwriting highly complex risks
Relevant education or professional experience in specialized lines (Surety, Financial Lines, Cyber, Construction)
Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships
Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
