About the role
- Senior Project Manager directing a team in parking planning and operations for the City of Hamilton. Overseeing capital projects, by-law management, and innovative parking solutions.
Responsibilities
- Directs a team of project managers and parking technologists
- Responsible for the delivery of all parking related capital projects approved through the capital budget process
- Management of the on-street by-law regulation program
- Operates temporary permitting programs both on and off street facilities
- Planning and research activities such as parking demand studies and technology improvements
- Makes recommendations related to both the current and capital budgets
- Develops policies and procedures related to Parking Operations
- Provides professional consultation to the Manager as required
Requirements
- A minimum of an Advanced Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Transportation Engineering or Planning
- Certified or eligible for certification with Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologist (OACETT) and/or Professional Project Management (PMP) designation preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the field of project management, transportation operations
- Highly effective leadership, facilitation, communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience in delivering programs and services with a customer focus in a municipal environment
- Must possess a Class "G" Driver's Licence with provision of a vehicle for use on the job
