About the role

  • Real Estate Consultant responsible for managing transactional and portfolio functions for affordable housing in Hamilton. Engaging in research, planning, and negotiating for the City of Hamilton's objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery and administration of core transactional and portfolio management functions
  • Engage in activities to undertake research and analysis and provide advice
  • Negotiate transactions and agreements
  • Plan and guide the work of City Partners regarding real property assets
  • Conduct due diligence, research, analysis, and reviews of properties

Requirements

  • Knowledge in real estate and land development
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
  • Experience in negotiating transactions pertaining to real property
  • Familiarity with Ontario Municipal Act, Planning Act, and other relevant legislation
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Project management experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database software applications
  • Class G driver's license valid in the Province of Ontario
