About the role

  • Warehouse Team Manager leading operational activities in a fast-paced environment at GXO. Responsible for team management and performance in support of Sainsbury’s frozen warehouse operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs
  • Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance
  • Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Leading the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation
  • Management of the warehouse training requirement and function

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast-paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation)
  • The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement
