About the role

• BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE Analyst at Gunnebo creating BI solutions for data-driven decisions. Collaborating with stakeholders and optimizing existing BI systems in a hybrid workplace.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using Microsoft technologies to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and implement ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from various sources into data warehouses.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights.
• Conduct data validation and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
• Optimize existing BI systems, perform regular maintenance, and conduct performance tuning.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI and other Microsoft BI tools.
• Stay updated with the latest Microsoft BI technologies and industry trends.
• Proactively propose analytics improvements: Based on your understanding of our key data sources, cubes, data quality and reporting best practices - become a true business partner for the business, challenging and proposing alternative ways to fulfil the business needs for analytics as defined together with the team.
• Schedule and run regular workshops with business counterparties: Validating analytics, proactively gathering the needs of the business and keeping a close loop of feedback going.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s in Data Science, MBA with a focus on Information Systems) are a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Power BI Developer, Data Analyst, or in a similar role within a Microsoft environment.
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics is highly desirable.
• Excellent SQL skills and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong proficiency in BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
• Proficiency in SSIS for ETL processes and data integration.
• Experience with SSAS for data modelling and analysis.
• Experience with SSRS for reporting.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services related to BI and data analytics.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
• Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate - building the bridge from business need to technical BI implementation and back.
• Proactiveness - proactively proposing alternative ways to implement reporting balancing available data and business needs.
