About the role

  • Residential nursing area manager overseeing intensive outpatient care in Bremen. Leading nursing teams and ensuring quality nursing processes in a new care facility.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for organizing, ensuring quality, and further developing our care services
  • Clinical leadership of the nursing team
  • Planning of shifts, assignments and leave
  • Onboarding of new colleagues & conducting employee appraisals
  • Participation in personnel decisions (hiring, development, dismissal)
  • Clinical planning and supervision of care processes
  • Initial assessments and care visits
  • Ensuring documentation & implementation of quality standards
  • Co-design and implementation of new nursing standards
  • Internal training & education planning
  • Acting as a liaison between management, the nursing team and external partners
  • Close collaboration with family members, physicians and other professionals
  • Participation in quality improvement groups and internal meetings
  • Responsibility for cost-conscious/financial management in the care unit
  • Occupational safety & compliance with accident prevention regulations

Requirements

  • Qualified nurse (registered nurse) with experience in out-of-hospital intensive care
  • Leadership experience desirable
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality development
  • IT/computer skills
  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness
  • Organizational talent & a strong sense of responsibility
  • Empathy and didactic/coaching skills
  • Decisiveness and resilience under pressure
