About the role
- Accountant for HGB/IFRS handling financial accounting and reporting in Cologne for a global client. Collaborating with auditors and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS, and preparation of consolidated reporting under IFRS
- Maintenance of records required for tax purposes
- Participation in balance sheet strategy, taking commercial and tax law requirements into account
- Support in preparing the annual corporate (management) report
- Collaboration with and technical support for the sub-ledger
- Point of contact for auditors, tax auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
- Completed commercial or tax specialist vocational training (possibly with further qualifications), or a degree with a focus on finance and accounting
- Relevant professional experience in (general) accounting or ideally in a comparable position
- Good knowledge of accounting under HGB (IFRS desirable)
- Good English skills (minimum B1 level)
- Experience with SAP is an advantage but not a requirement
- Excellent analytical skills, initiative and conscientiousness
- High degree of personal responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
- Strong team orientation and communication skills
