About the role

  • OpenStack Engineer optimizing cloud infrastructure and technical workflows within an international team at Schwarz Corporate Solutions. Enhancing performance and availability of OpenStack-based services.

Responsibilities

  • You'll take ownership of provisioning OpenStack-based block storage volumes, constantly refining them for maximum performance and availability
  • You'll manage and continuously optimize technical workflows through efficient automation and ongoing development using Python and/or Go
  • You'll operate and administer the underlying Linux-based system environments, guaranteeing the high availability of our cloud infrastructure
  • You'll be part of a motivated team dedicated to continuous improvement and the evolution of both our skills and our products.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion and enthusiasm for emerging technologies across Linux, automation, virtualization, and networking
  • A proactive drive to improve availability and scalability, with a strong commitment to automating processes and workflows
  • The ability to analyze and efficiently resolve complex technical problems, with proven experience in conducting root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Several years of hands-on experience implementing and managing OpenStack and Kubernetes environments, including deployment, scaling, and optimization
  • Deep expertise in OpenStack services, particularly Cinder and Nova, complemented by experience with OpenStack upstream development
  • Solid experience in the software development lifecycle, including build and release management, backed by advanced programming proficiency
