About the role
- Data Engineer developing and transforming data pipelines on GCP for a global dairy brand. Ensuring data quality and integrity with CI/CD practices and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines on GCP using dbt
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the development lifecycle
- Apply development best practices and maintain CI/CD processes for continuous integration and deployment of data projects using GitLab
- Monitor systems and manage incidents
- Participate in cross-validation of Pull Requests among Data Engineers
- Automate data infrastructure with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Document architectures, pipelines, and best practices
- Conduct technology watch and share findings with the team on dedicated instances
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Excellent SQL skills
- Proficiency with dbt for data transformations
- Experience with Python for scripting and data tooling
- Advanced experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Composer, etc.)
- Strong data modeling skills (dimensional, relational, etc.)
- Experience automating infrastructure with Terraform
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, ideally with GitLab
- Knowledge of Power BI and the ability to develop reports is a plus
- Experience developing Streamlit applications is an advantage
