About the role

  • AI Engineering Intern contributing to green energy management software development. Collaborating on AI solutions and continuous learning in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge management and data processing: Support the continued development of an AI-driven knowledge management system by expanding and maintaining a data pipeline
  • Evaluation: Ensure the reliability of our AI solutions by building out an automated evaluation framework and selecting appropriate metrics
  • Research and development: Investigate new approaches in AI engineering and assess their applicability for GreenPocket
  • Collaboration: Work with our cross-functional teams to help integrate AI solutions into our products and processes
  • Continuous learning: Develop your professional profile by building knowledge and experience in software development, data science and AI engineering

Requirements

  • You must be able to complete a 6-month required internship as part of your studies in engineering, computer science or a comparable field
  • You have solid Python skills and experience in NLP, with both traditional methods and LLMs and (dense) embeddings
  • You have initial experience in AI engineering, e.g. context engineering, RAG (vector- or knowledge-graph-based), agentic AI and AI evaluation methods
  • You want to learn from our AI expert and actively support them in developing our AI chatbots
  • Ideally, you are familiar with relational, vector or graph databases and have initial experience in post-training of Transformer-based models
  • With an analytical and structured working style you break down complex problems and find appropriate solutions, which you know how to document clearly and illustratively
  • You have excellent German and English skills
