About the role
- Certified Litigation Paralegal supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation at Gray, Duffy, Eisenbaum & Lee, LLP. Role includes case management, legal research, and trial preparation in a law firm environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-claim investigations and initial case assessments.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents.
- Perform legal research and manage case files efficiently.
- Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery indexes, and case-related documents.
- Prepare exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Serve as the liaison between trial teams and external parties.
- Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years as a Certified Litigation Paralegal in a law firm setting with billable hour requirements.
- Paralegal certification required. Valid paralegal certificate must be provided prior to hire.
- Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, motions, and court rules.
- Proficiency in WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook, E-copy, Westlaw, Automated Forms, and E-Filing.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Self-sufficient, proactive, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
- Bilingual language ability; Spanish speaking is a plus.
