About the role

  • Certified Litigation Paralegal supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation at Gray, Duffy, Eisenbaum & Lee, LLP. Role includes case management, legal research, and trial preparation in a law firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-claim investigations and initial case assessments.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and appellate documents.
  • Perform legal research and manage case files efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain pleadings, discovery indexes, and case-related documents.
  • Prepare exhibits, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
  • Serve as the liaison between trial teams and external parties.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Certified Litigation Paralegal in a law firm setting with billable hour requirements.
  • Paralegal certification required. Valid paralegal certificate must be provided prior to hire.
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, discovery, motions, and court rules.
  • Proficiency in WordPerfect, Excel, Outlook, E-copy, Westlaw, Automated Forms, and E-Filing.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-sufficient, proactive, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
  • Bilingual language ability; Spanish speaking is a plus.
