About the role

  • Join national tax practice at Grant Thornton to assist in tax income returns and consulting for corporate clients. Develop tax knowledge and collaborate with team members in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of tax income returns for local and international corporate clients
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns for expatriates and high net worth individual clients
  • Assist tax managers and partners with consulting projects including research on applicable legislation, commentary, tax treaty implications and domestic and foreign case law
  • Assist managers and partners with the preparation of consulting reports and tax opinions
  • Assist with the preparation of internal and external articles and publications

Requirements

  • Growing knowledge of New Zealand tax legislation
  • Relevant degree
  • Solid critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship management
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative and social environment
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Forward thinking and proactive
