Responsibilities
- Management of complex, high-stakes files: polytrauma, psychological diagnoses, from file opening to closure.
- Thorough analysis: identify root causes, detect inconsistencies, and guide optimal decisions.
- Development and implementation of strategies: temporary reassignment, medical expert assessments, appeals of decisions, cost-sharing arrangements, drafting comments to the Employer’s Notice, and handling reimbursement requests.
- Strategic communication with injured employees, Operations teams, the CNESST, and internal partners.
- Collaboration with internal and external lawyers to build strong cases.
- Reference and coaching role: support junior advisors, conduct workplace visits with the CNESST, and promote continuous improvement of occupational health and safety (OHS) practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience: minimum 5 years managing CNESST claims or in a similar field.
- Natural curiosity and investigative mindset: thorough analysis and exploration of all lines of inquiry.
