About the role
- Projects Engineer managing capital projects to ensure quality and safety standards for Gold Fields in Australia. Leading project controls and providing engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of capital projects, ensuring outcomes meet approved scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and environmental standards
- Take ownership of project controls by establishing and managing scope, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting against agreed baselines
- Provide strong technical leadership and engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle to deliver safe, fit-for-purpose, and cost-effective solutions
- Support the management of commercial arrangements and relationships between Gold Fields and suppliers
- Maintain and improve safety standards during construction & manage the project stakeholders as required
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, or a related discipline
- Displayed experience in mining, mechanical or civil operations in a similar role with good understanding of technologies and equipment
- Post graduate qualification in business or project management would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated level of competency in relevant software applications including Microsoft Office and SAP
