About the role

Responsibilities
- Development of ecodesign and resource-efficient products
- Research and structuring of knowledge on methods, digital development processes and product–service systems
- Implementation of methods and tools to support product development in industrial practice
- Research and evaluation of innovations and practical examples to increase resource efficiency
- Review and preparation of applications for national funding programs
- Collaboration with academia and industry to promote circular economy, resource conservation, product development and climate protection
Requirements
- Completed university degree (Master's or Diplom) in mechanical engineering, product development or a comparable technical field
- A doctorate (PhD) is an advantage
- Initial knowledge of or interest in circular economy, material or energy efficiency
- Experience in industrial product development, ideally with insight into commercial production projects
- Analytical thinking, a good understanding of technical processes and the ability to comprehend complex relationships
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
