About the role
- Lead finance transformation initiatives focusing on AI and productivity tools for accounting teams at General Motors. Collaborate with leadership and ensure effective adoption while maintaining control.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation journey for Inventory and Product Cost Accounting teams focusing on AI and emerging technologies.
- Actively participate in identifying current and future opportunities to leverage transformation and efficiency tools.
- Develop strategies for adoption of productivity tools among teams while assuring strong control.
- Leverage expertise in Product Cost and Inventory processes to help the team evolve in operation management.
- Be the key change agent towards democratizing AI and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with leadership to ensure complete alignment and leverage capabilities.
- Enhance monthly financial reports such as KPIs, P&L, cash flow, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
- Preferred Master’s degree program completed.
- Preferred training in AI related technology.
- 3+ years of experience in finance, controlling or costing, preferably in a manufacturing/automotive environment.
- Commitment to take on a People leader role upon needed knowledge of Inventory and Product Cost accounting cycle.
- Experience with SAP in finance/controlling/materials-related modules.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in automation and analytics tools, especially Power BI.
