Lead GM Financial’s DevOps and DevSecOps strategy, driving automation and innovation across the software delivery lifecycle. Responsible for fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement in a rapidly growing fintech environment.
Responsibilities
Leading the development of a technology architecture for automation services to the IT department, including but not limited to the CI/CD pipeline, Developer Metrics, and Developer Portal
Effectively manage the GM Financial IT DevOps Automation Solutions organization and related practices, including ensuring an appropriate staffing model and ongoing training and development approach
Collaborating with various IT departments and software delivery teams to define and implement an effective engagement model that spans the SDLC from solution definition to support
Create, enhance, implement, and support DevOps, infrastructure and middleware build automation tools
Define and maintain the GMF SDLC; seek ratification as appropriate from Enterprise Architecture and Stakeholder Teams; lead any training programs related to SDLC
Advocate and promote AI driven software delivery for all GMF software delivery efforts
Partner with the GM Financial Cyber Security team to ensure solutions meet GM Financial's Cyber Security policies and requirements
Define organizational requirements for the resources, structures, and cultural changes necessary to support the DevOps Automation functions
Promote the DevOps Automation Solution team’s capabilities, outcomes, and results to the organization, including the enterprise's IT and business leaders
Requirements
Greater than 10 years of progressively responsible experience within Information Systems required
5-7 years of corporate management experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline or 10+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in the field required
Master’s Degree in Computer Science or MBA preferred
Azure, AWS, and other Cloud Technologies
Ability to leverage cloud cost management to manage budgets and optimize total cost of ownership
Facilitating change within an organization, experience summarizing and presenting findings and challenges around technical processes and solutions to senior level executives
Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
Aligning team actions with organizational level objectives to drive business results
Comprehensive knowledge of software, applications, infrastructure-as-code, and systems engineering
Developing and sustaining internal/external customer relationships
Support IT and business strategies and plans
Developing collaborative relationships to facilitate work goal completion
Strong vendor management skills
Ability to interpret complex technical documents and provide guidance to management
Strong program and project management experience including experiencing delivering projects using waterfall and/or agile methodologies
Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills including the ability to review, interpret and present data in a concise and precise manner
Apply system design and architectural principles to meet functional and non-functional requirements
Developing process models and optimizing through LEAN techniques
Experience with integration of cloud computing with on premise solutions and experience automating governance and internal controls
