About the role

  • Finance Officer at Gloucestershire County Council providing financial support for children's services. Responsible for tracking financial records, reporting, and ensuring data accuracy in financial commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the tracking of all financial records and ensuring meaningful accurate data is captured at a child level
  • Produce regular financial reports
  • Alongside the Strategic Finance Team, understand and monitor budgets
  • Identify anomalies, resolve financial queries and escalate any concerns to maintain financial integrity
  • Support high-cost panels
  • Contribute to service audits

Requirements

  • Proven finance reporting and analytical skills
  • AAT qualification
  • Experience of working within children’s services, social care, education or the public sector
  • Ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines.
