Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in political science, technical or social sciences, humanities, public policy, or municipal business administration
- Minimum of 5 years' experience conducting research, analyzing information and developing policy within First Nations communities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience drafting proposals and reports, presenting information to diverse audiences, and synthesizing information into position papers and strategic documents
- Experience establishing intergovernmental partnerships, including with the Department of Justice, Public Safety Canada, Crown‑Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC), and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC)
- In-depth knowledge of First Nations justice issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
